The Olympic Spirit

About
Esther Kim
Esther Kim is one of the daughters of Master Kim. She attended the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia representing the United States. She attended as a special guest of the President of the International Olympic Committee. She received that invitation because she exhibited the true Olympic spirit by yielding her spot to her lifelong friend and competitor Kay Poe. This exhibition of Olympic spirit resulted in appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show, the NBC Today Show, and a CBS 48 Hours segment. She also appeared on many local network programs. She was written about in many print publications, including The Boston Globe, The New York Times, USA Today, and The Houston Chronicle. Magazine articles appeared in People, Cosmo Girl, Sports Illustrated, and ESPN Magazine.
Esther Kim brings this spirit of life and TaeKwonDo to all who come across her path. A few of her many awards (too many to list) are Bronze Medal at World University Championships in 1998 and 2000. She was the US National Champion in the fin weight division in 2000. She was also the Texas State Champion at many levels in many years.
